Jill is the winner of our longest service award having been with Noah’s Ark since 1992. She started as a receptionist and has established herself nicely as our bookkeeper. She has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from VCU. Jill and her husband, Mark, have two daughters, Samantha and Amanda. Jill enjoys reading, video games, and spending time on the water with her family. She shares her home with 2 kitties, “Pixie” and “Newt”.
Cori joined Noah’s Ark in August 2000. She obtained an Associated Degree in Veterinary Technology at Cedar Valley College in 2008. Cori is an active member of the VALVT. Continuing Education, Dentistry, Anesthesia, and Surgical Assisting are some of her professional interests. She shares her home with her husband of 12 years, Dave. They have 2 “fur babies”; Jackie and Laroux. In her free time she enjoys baking, gardening, exercising, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Tammy is a Virginia native, hailing from Hampton, VA. She and her husband Peter have been married over 30 years and share their home in “the burg” with “Rome P’ullo”, an adorable Shih-Tzu. Nick named “Romeo”, this adorable and boisterous pup rules the house.Tammy enjoys quiet walks on the beach, cruising Hawaii, Europe and favorite spots in the Caribbean with her hubby. Hobbies include cage diving with sharks, snorkeling and swimming with dolphins. Tammy is an avid supporter of charities such as World Wildlife Fund, The Humane Society of the United States and Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
Front Desk Supervisor
Crystal has been working at Noah’s Ark as a vet assistant since 2015. She is working towards her certification and degree at Penn Foster. She shares her home and life with 2 beautiful “Fur-babies”: “Bella”, her sassy Corgi and “Evie”, her energetic pibble (or Pitbull). In her free time she likes to study and spend time with her husband and family.
Rob joined Noah’s Ark in 2002 as a veterinary assistant initially part time until becoming full time Kennel Supervisor. A man of many interests Rob is a Civil War enthusiast regularly participating in re-enactments, leading knowledge filled tours of Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and the Yorktown Area. Rob and his wife Tammy are supporters of Sheltie rescue having had many through the years. They now live in Williamsburg with their shelties Madison, Katie, Cinder, Merlin, ZephR and newest edition Onyx.
Senior Veterinary Assistant
Carol joined the team at the front desk of Noah’s Ark in March of 2016. A Liberal Arts graduate of the University of Virginia, she previously worked as a veterinary assistant for 5 years while living in Oxford and Natchez, Mississippi. She then worked 9 years in technical support for a software company before returning to Williamsburg to start her pet sitting business, No Pet Left Behind. Outside of Noah’s Ark, she continues to take care of her many furry friends. Other interests include cycling and walking the many wonderful trails around the Williamsburg area and flying with her partner Jerry in his Piper Cub.
Sam joined Noah’s Ark in May of 2015. She works part time while attending VCU, where she is pursuing a degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Creative Writing. She has two kitties at home, “Pixie” and “Newt”. She spends her free time studying and hanging with her friends.
Mandi joined Noah’s Ark in July 2016. She moved from Mobile, Alabama with her husband, Josh and daughter, Rowan. They welcomed their son Skyler to the family in June. Mandi has been working in the veterinary field for 10 years. She is currently in her last semester of Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technology program. She has 2 dogs, a 9 year old Pitbull, “Tinkerbell” and a 9 month old Pitbull, “Clank”. In her spare time she enjoys family activities and redoing furniture.
LVT in training
Matt joined Noah’s Ark in June of 2013 with four years of prior kennel work. He has lived in Williamsburg since 2001. When not working, he enjoys taking his Dalmatian, “Anna”, for long walks in local parks, reading, tinkering, and playing hobby board games.
Breanne joined the team at Noah’s Ark in July of 2017. You might see her in multiple roles, as she “floats” between helping in treatment and in reception. She works here part time and also works part time as a zookeeper. She spends other days of the week in class at Old Dominion University, where she will be graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Biology in December of 2017. Breanne has 4 years of prior experience as a treatment assistant, as well as 4 years of experience as a zookeeper and animal trainer. A native of San Diego, California, she moved to Virginia in 2004. When not at work or school, she spends time at home with her husband, Cyril, and their two children, Miles and Simone. Together, they give lots of love to their two dogs, Lola and Meadow, and their three cats, Tiger, Buddy, and Zoe.
Please meet “Shaka.” Shaka came to us at 17 years of age from an owner who became allergic. She is an African Grey Parrot who is learning to bark as well as learning a few human words. Although she is leery of being touched, everyone enjoys her talking, singing, whistling and dancing.
Donna is a former Military Brat who has the opportunity to travel the world due to her father’s military service. She attended Austin Peay State University with a major in Early Childhood Education. She has a passion for music and has road tripped extensively to see some of her favorite bands. She currently resides in Newport News with her fur baby Dexter.
Vanessa has been working at Noah’s Ark as a treatment assistant since 2016. She has been working in the veterinary field for nine years. Vanessa attended VCU and studied Biology/Pre Vet. Vanessa has a sweet miniature poodle named Buddy, whom she adores, along with two kitties named Kevin and Wilson. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, fishing, church, live music, and trying new places to eat.
