Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Sean Sparkman took ownership of Noah's Ark Veterinary Hospital in September of 2014. He has cared for pets in the Hampton Roads area since 2006. He also practiced emergency medicine as a relief veterinarian with the Peninsula Veterinary Emergency Clinic.
Dr. Sparkman grew up in Gallatin, Tennessee, and attended The University of Tennessee as an undergraduate. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 2001. He continues his veterinary education at The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
Internal Medicine, surgery, and dentistry are among Dr. Sparkman's many professional interests. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the Greater Peninsula Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Sparkman and his wife, Dr. Cary Sparkman, also a veterinarian in the area, are proud parents of two children, Elizabeth and Alex. Their family also includes two dogs, Boudreaux and Doggie Parton. In his spare time, he enjoys running, biking, hiking, playing soccer, and playing guitar and mandolin.
